PAGE- Reflections

a) I am thrilled with my work because I was able to learn new ways of bringing in text, pictures, and videos into google earth so I could be succesful in the project. I am also thrilled that me and Sam made a succesful movie even though we are having technical difficulties with bringing it into google earth.

b) I never thought that using goolge earth would be so hard because there were many diffrent steps and some were very hard to finish.

c) The things that were most difficult was getting the video into goolge earth because we had many problems with the video and we feel very happy that we fixed it.

d) Here is a list of all the steps, in sequence, of how I accomplished this project:
1. Matt and I added all of my project together through Google Earth. After that we photoshoped the images that we collected with the artistic tool. Later we added the music that was put on a key, and then we added the links into google earth. We then also added the video after we had completed everything else.

Unlearned Lessons of War

a) What changes did you make to the original images you used?
I started with my original image of the girl kneeling in front the memorial with an American flag. I then added in the other images and used a layer mask to take out any un-wanted pieces of the photos. I brought down the opacity of the images so that people could still see the original image and the photos that were added.

b) What pleases you most about the technical quality of your work? Why?
The thing that pleases me most in the technical quality of my work is the way I used layer masks in all my images, I found this pleasing because I was able to use a new skill in the project and show that I can use it in different ways for each image.

c) What displeases you most about the technical quality of your work? Why?
The thing that displeases me most in the technical quality of my work is the way I placed the images. I found this displeasing because it might not look appealing to someone who was looking through all the blogs and it might look like the images were thrown together by someone who was not in the class.

d) What new techniques or skills did you learn through the completion of this activity?
The new technique that I learned was the layer mask. I found that this technique was very useful in how I put my image together and the way I was able to save space and not make it look messy.

e) What message did you hope to convey in your collage, if any?
The message I hoped to send with my image is that we should respect the soldiers who have gone over sea’s and show respect to the people who have fallen in the line of duty protecting their country.

f) What emotional response do you hope to elicit from your audience?
The emotional response that I hope to elicit from my audience is people should be proud that soldiers are defending our country but should feel a sadness that many people will die because they are trying to save many more lives in their own country.

g) What changes would you make to improve on this image?
The changes I would make to my image is that the images should be more spaced out, and I feel that I could have used a more variety of images and not just the black and white images I have now. I also feel I could have added more words to my image.

Here is what I learned during my research:
During my reserch I learned that not all idea's of respect bringing peace are the same in the fact that some people view respect and peace as a diffrent idea from another person. While more then one person might have the same idea of respect bringing peace.

Here are three ideas/topics that I have thought of:
1. We should respect people who are risking their own lives to help save who need help. It helps bring peace because they are helping to save another coutry.

2. We should respect the people who have died in the line of duty for their country. This helps bring peace because the two countries will honour the people who have givin their lives for them.

3. We should respect those people who have gone over sea's to defend their country's. This bring's peace because they are defending their country and possibly helping another.


The idea I have chosen to pursue is:
1. We should respect people who are risking their own lives to help save who need help. It helps bring peace because they are helping to save another coutry.

I found this image easy to because i was able to earse the images and put them together into one image.

What is real- Performace task

Matt C's Unreal Animal

I found my image difficult to make because I had to add in many different parts. I also found it easy because I did not find the different types of lasso’s hard to use, so I was able to take the pieces of the images I wanted without difficulty. I wish I could have made the different images blend together more so that my image does not look so choppy and looks more real. I like my picture because I was creative with it and I thought I did I good job with it.
